I could be wrong, but from memory when you restore a checkpoint backup, the
admin and expert passwords aren't changed.
If this is correct, and you have a recent backup saved remotely, you could
reinstall, choose new passwords, and restore the backup which would use the
new passwords defined.

Hopefully someone will correct me on this, maybe it was only "cp"
backup/restore that doesn't replace your passwords, if that's the case, I
haven't been much help.

Andrew

Subject: [FW-1] SecurePlatform password Recovery
Importance: High

I have recently run into this problem and I haven't found anything at
Checkpoint's support site and nothing a Phoneboy's site either. So I
HOPE that somebody can give me a hand. For some reason the password of
the admin account on the secureplatform is no longer valid therefore I
need to recover the password. Has anybody experienced this situation?
Has anyone found the solution to this problem? By Solution I mean
procedure to recover a password with SecurePlatform.

Thanks to all.
