Brian: The install I used WAS R54, it's just that Checkpoint has included some additional drivers with the newer ISO, drivers that I would've manually supplied upon boot-up had that mechanism not been suppressed with the hardening process.
The modified ISO is exactly the same as the shipping version, with all products included and is bootable to the SPLAT install, other than the enhanced driver support. Good luck, /Marc -----Original Message----- From: Mailing list for discussion of Firewall-1 [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Brian Bohanna Sent: Tuesday, February 03, 2004 3:20 PM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: Re: [FW-1] Secureplatform on Dell 1750 w/ Raid Controller I'll get R55 and try.. One other question though. That's ISO, it also contains the complete FW1 Install and all like the original cd sent from ChkPnt right? I know these questions seem novice, but I'm new to checkpoint, was a PIX guy for 2 years. You cannot add ANY drivers to the existing installation of SPLAT, at least during the boot process. 2. I called tech support, and they have recompiled the R54 version to include the MEGARAID driver support that PERC uses. The link is here: ftp://ftp.ts.checkpoint.com/download/1750/singlecd_B540000158.iso If the link doesn't work, call tech support for the updated one.
