Hi,

Thanks for the reply. We do use a Sendmail Relay to forward email into the internal
email server
(also Sendmail) but in the moving to/from the DMZ to private network - the email is
virus scanned.

Could the virus scanner cause the problem. This setup has been running for over 4
years, the problem
has only occurred this year. After the switch to NG.

Hello there,

Some troubles are really hard to solve. This one is one of them.

It happens when the "To:" fields in the header (which is different than
the "RCPT TO:") is (1) too long and (2) contains "<>".

No workaround was found for this problem. The easier solution is to put a
sendmail machine doing the verification (anti-relaying, access and so
on) and not a FW ressource. Which has a big advantage : less power used on
FW, but a big drawback : a machine needed!

Good Morning,

Since upgrading to NGAI R54, the contents of the To: line in some emails are being
stripped. A
comment is placed within the email . The problem only appears to be with Outlook.

Comments: Original 'to' not compliant with RFC822, stripped

Is down to NGAI?

Can I configure Outlook to generate compliant RFC822 headers?
