Funny this subject should be brought up at the very time that I am putting in measures to mitigate against DDoS after having been bombarded for hours and hours of malicious syn floods. If anyone wants details please write to me in a week when the solution has bedded in. Basically it involves the IPS Attack Mitigator from Toplayer ....I do not want to be a Toplayer saleman but the basics of it is you put a Gig "feed" into the IPS and you get 100M "clean" traffic out of it !!! Toplayer are NOT the only ones that make such a device !! --
