Hello,
By default the Cisco 3500XL will have all the ports to VLAN1,
I am assuming that you need to create or have created multiple VLANS in your
Cisco 3500XL switch.
Use Telnet or the console port and type

Show run

It will show your current configuration and check that both FW and
workstation are in the same VLAN.

Also check netmask and default gateways on both the FW and workstation.

FW Policy also need to be checked....to make sure the traffic is allowed
from and to.

Check GLOBAL properties on your FW configuration to make sure traffic
originating from the firewall is allowed.

Regards.

Subject: [FW-1] Problems with vlan's

Hello,

I am configuring a FW1 NG3 with secureplatform and i am with problems on
VLANS.

Does any know's how to configure it with a Cisco 3500XL?

I go to the menu and configure the vlan interface but the firewall doesn't
ping the workstation.

Thank's.
