It's quite easy :
You need to get the checkpoint packages from nokia. (base packages + latest HFA). Download then to the nokia box (/opt/packages) using your favourite transfer application (ftp, scp, etc.). Install the cpshared first using the voyager http interface or the newpkg command (but voyager is easier). Install afterwards all needed packages (fw1 should be good) with voyager or newpkg. Reboot cpconfig Install the latest HFA. you'll find the whole procedure (but on quite old versions) in this document : http://www.qorbit.net/documents/nokia-installation.pdf > > 2)Also, a good article on upgrading/intalling IPSO images on > Nokia boxes? See the document above, but it's easy too : Download the new ipso.tgz image to the nokia box. Then add the new image with voyager or with the newimage command : newimage -h for all the flags and stuff, but you can type : newimage -l /your/path/ipso.tgz -b -k -T (for testboot) newimage -l /your/path/ipso.tgz -b -k -R (use newly installed image to run at next boot) The testboot works like this : After the next reboot, you have to "commit" the test boot image using voyager, otherwise the box will automatically reboot on the previous ipso version afetr 30 minutes. > 3)Has anyone ever tried to intall a base IPSO install and > Checkpoint install and then try to make a ghost image of it? You have a backup tool included with voyager. And the ipso image is read-only mounted, so it shouldn't be modified.
