Under advice from Checkpoint sales I have applied an Express license to an
existing NG AI R55 Enterprise Nokia cluster (gateway only). I had the same
misgivings as you but it worked fine.

Good luck,

Phil.

The 2 products are actually different and do need to be installed as
different products. The CP express product does have some limitations such
as how many enforcement modules are allowed to be controlled by the
management server. I think if you do a full install of the CP product and
then apply the express license you will end up with issues.

Chris

My CP provider says that express is just the new name for the same product
when you ask for less that 500 users, and what I think is that, if this is
the only diference, there'd be no need to install them as different
products. That's why I ask if someone knows where the difference is.

Anuska.
