sorry, I didn't read your entire message! I still cannot connect with my Edge to my SmartCenter, but with the HFA08 problems we had (install HFA08, uninstall HFA08, install a fixed HFA08) my CheckPoint environment settings were messed up. Some were pointing to fw1\R55 and others were pointing to fw1\NG. Check all the Check Point environment settings in Windows to ensure they are all pointing to your R55 installation and not NG.
