Let start from the basic....
Have you gone into the Smartview Dashboard and gone into View then Product
then Log Consolidator...install and start the OUT-OF-THE-BOX policy for the
Log Consolidator?
Have you tried running any reports since you installed it?
Have you make sure the Reports dates are correct?

The smartview reporter add-on is installed on the management server. I
haven't done any type of configuration for the add-on though. Is this
needed?
When I open smartview reporter client it forwards me off to the smartview
reporter server ( it says reporter vis management on the bottom bar). On
the management tab it only shos the processing of fw.log. That is all it
says and it never changes.
