I am not sure if Checkpoint has fixed this in NG with AI R55 but it used to be
that

SPLAT will have problems handling systems with more than 1GB of RAM. To fix
this,

you have to create a fwkern.conf file in $FWDIR/boot/modules directory and
specify

that your system has more than 1GB of RAM. Thas has fixed this memory "leak" or

whatever memory problem you call it.

If I can remember correctly, it is fixed in NG with AI but this option is "OFF"
by

default.

To fix the problem, do the following:

Create a file named fwkern.conf in $FWDIR/boot/modules/ (it may already exist -
if so, keep the current contents and just add the new lines below).
Add the following two lines to the file:
fw_smem_use_alternate_malloc=1
fw_hmem_use_alternate_malloc=1
Then reboot the machine.

Good luck!
