Hi Guys, I've been a member here for just a few weeks and I've learned a lot. Anyway, I need some input from the Checkpoint Experts about backup & recovery of the Alteon Firewall 5105 running Checkpoint. I'm going to do an IP changeover later to change the public IP of the firewall and VPN. Question: If I change the public IP of the firewall, will it automatically carry over to all the rules I've placed? Do I have to do anything else besides changing the public IP address? How can I backup my configuration on to a floppy/FTP/CD? I know this may sound like a newbie asking, but I've been using iptables/chains for the longest time, and with those firewall/s, I only have to backup the iptables config file and off I go.
