The hard drives are just standard IDE 8 or 20 gig drives.

Any drive will do (l like samsung as they are quiet and run very cool).

Rebuilding the OS and configuration is the issue.

As long as you have the install floppy, the CD, any patches applied and a
recent backup you should be fine.

hi,

does it look like a harddisk problem? just get an old (small) harddisk and
use your (hope you have it) install-floppy and CD to boot your IP440 from
disk and CD and reinstall ist.

if you have nokia-support just open a case, they will tell you howto
re-setup it.

as they don't have hardware-support for the ip440 any more you won't get a
new harddrive there ..

Hi,

I think my Ipso440 is dead it does not response on any connection: telnet,
http (voyager), management console. I have connected a screen and a
keyboard direct on the machine, at boot time i see some bios screens after
that nothing in the left upper corner a cursor, but this does not response.
The light of the harddisk blinks at boot time, the leds are on of the
network, but it does not response.

What are my option to get it back to work?

TIA
Patrick
