Our users use CheckPoint SecureClient (NG AI R56, Build 701) using Mac
OS X (10.3.9) Panther to connect to a Sybase Database using a
proprietary client. They, up until Saturday, were also able to launch
a different (older version) of the client running in Macintosh OS 9 in
Classic Mode and connect to a separate Sybase Database. Like I said,
they used to. We've made no changes to the VPN-1 system, so we're kind
of at a loss as to why.
The only thing we've found is that under Classic Mode, they are unable
to resolve the host name from DNS, but running OS 9 in Classic Mode
uses the same network connection and settings as OS X.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
