I have had many reports from users of HTTP downloads dying part way
through. The files being downloaded range from Dell's support site, to
Apple software update. There are many others but I won't bother listing
them as I don't think this is site specific. I have been unable to
duplicate the problem myself, and honestly after the download dies the
user can start the download again and it always completes successfully.
This has become more of a nuisance but is gathering momentum into
becoming a full blown problem that needs a resolution.
I don't have much to go on. The users have not been very good about
providing any information other then "it died". The log files don't
reveal much that I am aware as most cases the user can only narrow down
the problem to a specific hour, and not any further.
Has anyone else seen this problem?
