Thank you Finally the SPLAT I'm running is only used as Database and Log center - not firewall. So I do not fear lack of support: I can have a disk image without vmware-tools because it works finally, and another one with pure installation. If I have to get support, I will switch on the 'pure' installation. For an example, we are running many Debian on ESX. Due to hardware problem, the VM crashes with strange messages... asking support for a Debian is useless, but it does not matter as far as VM with Windows also crashes. VMWare was not involved in that case, but report a hardware problem to the vendor without explanation how the OS reports it is not easy. That's why we contact VMWare first - that refuses to support Debian. So here is the conclusion: how to contact CheckPoint to get the kernel sources ?? I have already contacted my local vendor and look for information on knowledge base without success.
