Greetings,

I would log into the management server, and put the fwm process into debug
mode. Once you've started logging, then attempt the login, and have it
fail. This should give you a better idea as to why you're unable to login.

Depending on your OS, (these are for splat) it'd look something like this on
the management server:

fw kill fwm
TDERROR_ALL_ALL=5
OPSEC_DEBUG_LEVEL=3
export TDERROR_ALL_ALL OPSEC_DEBUG_LEVEL
fwm -d > /tmp/fwm.out 2>&1

Attempt the login and have it fail

ctrl + c to stop the fwm process

unset TDERROR_ALL_ALL
unset OPSEC_DEBUG_LEVEL

cpstop
cpstart

Look at the fwm.out file and see why it's complaining.

We tried this at one of the Secure Plat boxes... it worked

  1. Log into 'Expert Mode' into the SPLAT box.
  2. Get the PID nos. of the following processes cp_http_server and cpwmd
and kill these daemons
