I realize that each rule you can choose the particular install on gateways. What I'm talking about is the addition of rules as in when the actual push is done and you have to choose the gateways to install on. Does the fact that a new rule has been added mean that you need to push to all gateways even if on the rule itself the target is just a particular gateway.
We are on R60 by the way. ----- Original Message ----- From: Mailing list for discussion of Firewall-1 <[email protected]> To: [email protected] <[email protected]> Sent: Fri Oct 20 11:06:35 2006 Subject: Re: [FW-1] Pushing Policy mmm... I currently manage 5 gateways from my smartcenter... I am on the process of upgrading them all to R62 in the next couple of weeks. But with my current R55NG (with AI) I am able to choose on which gateway I should install my policy with out any problem; so far I have used R60 in a test environment and that feature stills present, it'll suck if they take that out on the oncoming R62. By any chance r u using an older version of R55? -----Original Message----- From: Mailing list for discussion of Firewall-1 [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Jeremy Lieb Sent: Friday, October 20, 2006 7:38 AM To: [email protected] Subject: [FW-1] Pushing Policy Good morning list, In previous versions of Checkpoint it seemed that when adding a new rule to the policy a push to all firewalls on the policy was required. Is this still required in NGX R60? We have 20 or so gateways and pushing to all firewalls each time a new rule is added, deleted, or disabled seems to cause some strange issues. Any info would be great.
