Hi, I am putting together a config for a new splat server. I am currently using a Corrent SR200 box that no longer has any support, so I want to change it over to something else. We are a Dell shop, and I have been looking at the PowerEdge 1950 server, and have some questions on what I should it configured with.
Should the server have dual processors, or just one powerful CPU. How much memory. I am thinking 4gb standard. How much HDD space. I have a distributed environment with the managing console just on a P4 computer running splat.
