If the ThinkPad did try by putting in the IP address for the internal
system, then it works fine. Now if I run nslookup on the ThinkPad, and
point it to the internal DNS server, that resolves names to IP's ok too.

I have older versions of ThinkPad's, they work fine, but not ones that
we got in the last few months. So does anyone have clues that I might
try to use to fix this??

The ThinkPad's are running WinXP Pro, using SecureClient R56 build 619,
the firewall is NG_AI R55. I should upgrade, I have almost all the other
hardware and software subscription is up to date so I can just build and
swap, but I just haven't taken that step yet.
