Forums are good places to search for answers like CPUG/Phoneboy's FAQ but not somewhere that you're going to log in to to answer questions. An email that comes their way is more likely to be answered though - look at the success of the list so far.
I think that a forum will kill the fw-1 community and you'll just get a load of posts from new users askign questions and rarely getting answers.. Please leave the mailing list alive..sometimes the simple systems are the best..
