Thanks for the consideration. I kind of like the idea of leaving it running while having it archived automatically in a forum. That makes it both fast for people with a current need as well as available for searching. I'm just not sure whether the forum should be read-only (eliminating forum users from asking for clarification) or whether forum posts should be dumped to the email list.

The latter would be better but the posts that originate in the forum would have to be flagged somehow so they do not get picked up by the list monitoring and duplicated in the forum.

I want to clarify:
Cyrrently the list continues as is. We are considering to keep it together with the forums. I will publish our final decision in a few days.

Thanks for the info Gil, but please tell us if you already made a definite
decision and this mailing list will be shut down.
If so, I would say that at least until we find out if your new forum is
successful and enough people post and reply on it, most of us will move to
the phoneboy mailing list.
As said by other guys, we are all used to get posts directly on our mail and
reply or send our posts in the same way, which is very convenient given the
fact that we are usually very busy people.

I don't really know if that matters or not for you, but I'm just giving my
opinion as I very much appreciate this resource to get my every day issues
resolved.

Regards
