MRTG can monitor the items you've mentioned, with the possible exception of the SMTP spooler. There's info on the MRTG site about using it to monitor SPLAT.
Regarding your item 4, SPLAT is a pre-hardened OS, and CheckPoint will not support loading extra stuff like BigBrother on it. Spotting that the spool directory is accumulating files is the easiest way to detect the problem. 4. Splat likely doesn't support BigBrother for some of this, gee that would be nice. The first one or two, I quite sure work, but interested if there are any gotcha to look out. The 3rd and 4th are things that would make me much more comfortable with the conversion.
