Thanks a lot. The trick was choosing VPN1 Power/UTM instead of
SecurePlatform. 

And now that they've finally released a version for the 2.6 kernel; I
wonder if we'll see an updated vpn client too(?)....

The SPLAT R65 iso is still available.

Go to downloads and select the option for "software subscription
downloads"
(or something like that), login, then choose VPN-1 Power/UTM in the
product,
R65 in the version and Secure Platform in the OS and you will find it.
