Here is where you and I disagree. I did the same thing
you did by backing up the interface configs and routing tables
on the enforcement modules. However, I think there are other
files in the $FWDIR/conf directory such as discntd.if and fwkern.conf
in the $FWDIR/boot/modules directory that has to be backup as well.
I am sure there are other files that I missed as well.

But you get my points right?

We don't backup. We make boot CDs to install the SPALT, and configure
the OS correctly. Most of the rest of the stuff comes from the
SmartCentre, except the routing table, so we have a script that reads
the firewall interface spoofing definitions, and makes a routing table
from that.

We have hundreds of firewalls all over the world, so its worth the
effort for us.

Subject: [FW-1] backing up Secureplatform Enforcement Modules

 Hi All,

How does one go about backing up checkpoint Secureplatform Enforcement
Modules? Since upgrade_export does not work on Enforcement Module.
What is the best practice in backing up Enforcement module?

 with "backup" command?

 Thanks.
