Hi Sergio,

First, thanks for the reply. I do my job with Checkpoint products since
Firewall-1 v3.0.
Back to the problem:
After installation of HFA02 on my active machine (no reboot, yet) it is
quitting the HA-Cluster. Now I wasn't able to ping my manager, but everything
else works fine (Internet, etc). From the same network the ping works.
After rebooting the machine I was able to reach the manager again. I did the
test to shutdown the active one and the same problem.
This is certainly not an issue of the hotfix. Maybe I have a config problem
with my standby.

Regards
Tom

First of all Tom, you should have upgraded your Management server first, it
MUST be on the same or higher version of your firewall modules for
everything to work properly.

Before trying to go forward with this, go ahead and read a pdf file named
CheckPoint_R65_UpgradeGuide, which you can find on any R65 installation disc
or on the Check Point downloads site.

Now, going back to your explanation, if you applied HFA02 to your Management
server and you cannot ping to it, saying "the active one is blocking your
ping", makes no sense if you are not sending such ping through that active
firewall. Make sure you try from a machine on the same network.

BTW, if your Management server got screwed up, pretty much the only way to
get it back would be reinstalling the machine and importing a backup... hope
you had done you homework and generated a backup recently.

Regards
