We have a mixture. Some special clients are allowed to send directly. One client had a spam-virus and flooded the internet with spam. The clients are natted behind the firewall and therefore the ip of the FW was on a blacklist. In that case I want to get an alert. The mass of our clients have to use an internal MTA.
