Hi all,
I have a smartcenter server with multiple interfaces:
- eth0: 192.168.1.22 (primary interface and hostname is binded to this)
- eth1: 192.168.3.2
- eth2: 172.16.55.4 (checkpoint license is binded to this)
Obviously, when I execute "hostname" command returns principal host name:
"shadowfax.hpulabs.org". Under /etc/hosts file, this hostname is binded to
192.168.1.22 ip, and checkpoint license is binded to another ip with different
hostname under /etc/hosts and my principal DNS server: cpmgmt.hpulabs.org.
When I installed SmartCenter R70.20 server, smartdashboard have created a
smartcenter server object with "shadowfax" as a hostname with correct ip:
192.168.1.22. But using this Ip address, install license fails. If I change ip
address to 172.16.55.4 on smartcenter object, license works as I expected. But, can
be a problem to do this??. Can I change hostname "shadowfax" to "cpmgmt" in
smartcenter server object??
I prefer don't change license ip address if it is possible.
Thanks.
