Peter, There is an SK for this on the Check Point support site. The process of resetting the bootmanager password involves booting into boot manager, then powering down and removing the disk, powering back up and then powering down and restarting with the disk back in place.
I can't remember the exact steps off the top of my head, but it's easy enough to find. You cannot remove the password once it's been set, but you can set it to one that you choose.
