Use 'dmesg' command to know the information about the NIC cards.
It will show all the information.

You can by using the ndd command.
Basically, you query the NIC and based on the response
-- you can get the info you need.
I don't recall the cmds. Check at docs.sun.com
example% ndd /dev/tcp \?
