Manfred SonicWALL's document is very good in terms of the initial setup. Go to - http://www.sonicwall.com/products/documentation/VPN_documentation.html - and then scroll down to the VPN Gateway to SonicWALL table.
The only thing we found was that if phase 2 negotiation failed (which happened about once a fortnight) there was no way to get it to renegotiate straight away. If you tried to restart the SonicWALL or reinstall policy on your FW1 it made no difference (these are the SonicWALL suggested ways of fixing a broken security association). We just had to leave it to time out everything and sort itself out (which would take about an hour). This was too much of a problem for us and we've since got rid of the SonicWALLs.
