[FW-1] ssl user auth

hello all we have setup ssl user authentication like the document http://support.checkpoint.com/kb/docs/public/firewall1/4_0/pdf/ssluserauth.pdf   but i becomes after the command fw certify ssl gate gate a message like: gate says not a certificate authority what is wrong? is this config possible without vpn and/or encryption installed?   we are using internet gateway 250 version 4.1 on solaris (without vpn and encryption modul).   please help christoph
