Hi

I want to test connectivity to new boxes within our network.

I have a couple of boxes on our internal network that need external access
from the Internet (yes I know DMZ is better but I have little choice for
temporary fix !).

I wanted to be sure I had general connectivity before loading up apps onto
these boxes and so setup FTP on these boxes - when I try to test from office
LAN I cannot connect. At first I thought I had a problem with rules but
couldn;t see an obvious problem - then I tried from external connection - it
worked !

So - I guess there is a problem with NAT or spoofing or something which is
not allowing me to run tests internally.

Please could someone advise on how I can set this up as I will not always
have an external connection to test on.

TIA

T
