Good Day We have an intermittent problem with FW-1 4.1 SP6 that exhibits as the firewall becoming incredibly slow.
On investigation we find that the amtpd service is running at 99% CPU. Doing an fwstop in this case does not terminate the process. The only option seems to be to reboot the module. This resolves the issue for a while, but once the mail volumes get back to normal the slow performance re-occurs. We do not use any CVP etc in this environment. Has anyone seen a similar occurrence, and are there any recommended solutions?
