Sorry, no work-arounds. We took the 'quit using it" route. We experienced problems like it blocking messages with adobe pdf files attached, and reduced performance on the firewall and in email.
Use something like Webshield, Mimesweeper, SurfControl, Antigen, etc, etc to do your email scanning instead. There've been several threads on this list recommending not using any of the sercurity servers. The http security server for example can cause a 30-40%performance hit. >>> [EMAIL PROTECTED] 10/24/02 10:23AM >>> Hey all, I'm wondering if I'm the only one who finds the security server to be somewhat weak. My problem is mainly with the "Notify sender on error" feature. It returns a non-customizable message to the sender with absolutely no details of why it wasn't able to deliver the message and to whom it wasn't able to deliver it. I mean, if you send a msg to 50 recepients and you get a notification back, you have no idea of who didn't get the message. And, even though the firewall knows who AND why it wasn't able to deliver the message, no information is conveyed in the email sent to the original sender. I'd like to know if anybody has workarounds for such weaknesses (beside the obvious do not use the smtp security server). My environment is NOKIA IP440 and NG FP2.
