I ran across the same issue on the same platform. Next time it happens
rather than reboot, run the fwarp.exe and it'll fix the ARP-Proxy IP's. If
this fixes the problem either create an arp file in the .bin directory or
create a DOS batch file that runs the fwarp every few hours.

Go back to NT40 or use Solaris or Linux. Windows 2000 has major ARP
issues (statement from inside CP itself).

W2K sucks big time in combination with CP and CP is not the one to blame
i assure you.

Start investing in, for example, Linux knowledge. It's worth it !
