if you reinstall solaris over the patches, your patches will be lost.  I would give your reseller the list of patches you want to put on and ask them if they know of any problems.

        I have a Firewall-1 4.1 running on Solaris 2.6 here. I want to update the operating system with the last patches, but I don't know if doing this I will make FW-1 stop working. Some people told me that to install the patches, I should re-install Solaris after that. Is it true? What do you recommend me to do?
