Jane,
Might I suggest downloading "Patchdiag" from Sunsolve, and running this to see
which patches are needed to update your system. Then, if time permits, I would
read through the despription report that can be obtained from Sunsolve to see
what the revelant issues are when loading these patches. Part of the
description of the patch tells what the patch will affect in the O/S. The
website for Sunsolve is http://sunsolve.sun.com.
