Hi Ivan

I have no idea - wish I did. From my point of view the whole process sucks
- I don't care so much about exam now - I just want to have best possible
preparation to install/configure/maintain FW-1. Looks as though I will need
to fork out for some books on FW-1 but you would have thought that spending
some serious money on CP courses would do the job !
Too many courses these days seem concentrated on getting exam results
rather than real useful practical knowledge.

My recommendation from my experience would be to forget official CP
training - get an independent FW-1 consultant (not ATC Checkpoint approved
- because they won't let their people customise courses) to do a course for
you, get several months real experience and then take exam if you really
want to (I guess it looks good on CVs). Personally I think the CCSE
certificate's value is somewhat akin to the Euro - it's value may go up or
down - probably down though ;-)

Mr Higgins;

For CCSAs/CCSEs certified in 4.0, do they need to write the 4.1 or
Checkpoint 2000 exams to re-certify?

Thanks,

Ivan
