These are just bandwidth usage report generators. Both are very good 
at doing this with very pretty output. Cricket, if I'm not mistaken,
is based on large parts of MRTG.

The original post was looking for a further breakdown by protocol
and user.

You may want to look into WebTrends or the like. You can do bandwidth
utilization by user with WebTrends, but it requires authentication.
