Title: Strange HTTP behaviour

Hi,

Recently we encounterd the following problem :

All outgoing http-requests to websites that have an ip-address instead of a name in the url, are denied by the firewall with no trace in the fw-1 logfile. The only trace related to it, is found in the ahttpd.log : match_host: could not reverse DNS 9b916913

The ip-address is in Hex-notation and are always addresses that can't be resolved by DNS.

We're running on Solaris 2.6 with Check Point VPN-1(TM) & FireWall-1(R) Version 4.0 Build 4094 [VPN]

Has anyone encountered this problem before and how can we solve this ??

Regards,

Kris
