You need to add the IP address of the client machine running the GUI that you
are using to connect to the Firewall with, to the GUICLIENTS file on the
Firewall.
Only IP address' stated in this file will be allowed to connect using the
management GUI.
To restrict even further you may want to add a workstation object with the
appropriate IP address to the Adminstrators Group and create a rule;
SRC DST Service Action
Administrators Firewall Firewall1 (group) Accept
Telnet
Nokia-Voyager (http port 8080)

Subject: [FW1] Nokia 440 running FW1 v4.1
My problem is this.
I cannot connect to the firewall gui once i run fwstart. It completely
locks down the box, the only way I can access it is to run fwstop, then fwm.
All routing is okay and when i enable ip forwarding on the box I can ping
beyond the firewall to the external routers/hosts.
I have an any any any permit statement in, insalled on the nokia which is
setup as an internal gateway.
I am new to the nokia and would appreciate any assistance. I'm sure it is
something simple but i am unsure how to proceed.
If you can help please do.
