The company I work for (a small company, ~20 users) Got the Checkpoint
fw-1/vpn-1
full on deal a little less than a year ago.
We had been told they are the best, so we got them
(Thank God the General Manager suggested this product, or I'd be in deep
crap)
We got mucho licenses... fw license, vpn license, Return Key license, Space
Bar license.
Holy Crap! administrative overhead overdose!
I've recently proposed that we use a router to do simple firewall stuff,
and use Microsoft's PPTP for VPN stuff.
PPTP couldn't possibly cause more problems than vpn-1!
And that's really making checkpoint look bad.
Well, the router is sittin here,
I'm just having a hard time turning off the box that ate up so much of my
budget.
(Hey, it's checkpoint's fault I didn't get the 50% raise I wanted!!!)
Livin' and learnin'.
