I have updated my NT installation to FW1 4.1 SP2, and all went well. Our
FW1 to Borderware IPSEC VPN is still working great, and I have a few quick
questions.
- Has anyone else seen problems with fw.exe crashing on NT? I've seen this
twice last month, after the firewall was operational for about 3 weeks
without a reset. It has to be VPN related, as all other traffic still
continued as normal through the firewall.
- Has anyone tried this new UDP Encapsulation Mode for SecureRemote? It
sounds very interesting as we haven't been able to use SecureRemote in the
past when we have to traverse a firewall which doesn't support IPSEC
forwarding.
- Which version of SecureRemote would be Version SP2? For the UDP
Encapsulation, it says that you need Version SP 2 for both the Firewall-1
Gateway and the SecureRemote client. I think the newest I've gotten from
Checkpoint is 4157 but that was several months before SP2 for the firewall.
