Well,  if the 100 clients are protected by the firewall,
they should be licensed.
Whether they are sending traffic through the FW with this or that IP address is not important,
it's whether they are part of the protected network or not.

Yes. There are about 100 PCs but they are all covered by the proxy under one single IP addrs. The firewall is going to handle the traffic orginated/destined from these 15 IP addresses.

In this case is this advisable to go for 100 license package instead of the 25 user pack -the smallest pack.

You need a license for every network interface that is protected by the firewall.
That is, one for each NIC in your servers, one for each PC/Workstation etc ...

If your 100 users all have their own computers, you need a license for each of them
+ for your servers, routers etc...

Subject: [FW1] Licensing issue

Hi all,
I got 14 nos. of static IP address allotted by the ISP. They are allotted to webserver, SMTP, ftp, dns, proxy and etc.
I got more than 100 users accessing the internet covered by the proxy. I presume these 100 users are represented at the firewall as one single IP address. My question is how many user license for the FW-1 should I buy?

Any helpers please?

regards
suresh
