Seti@home downloads a file(data unit) thru port 80 (http), then closes the
connection,
calculates the information and when it has done, it sends the results back
to the set@home server thru port 80 (http) en
gets a new data unit... .
So there are no more or less security issues then surfing the web...

regards,
Tom

Some of our employees are installing this application on their PCs.

Anyone know if SETI@home is a security concern and if so, what ports
to block?

Cheers,
