Other way around. IGMP is defined in an RFC as an extension to IP
multicast, itself defined in an earlier RFC.
StoneBeat products use Ethernet multicast, which is a different set of
standards, but essentially the same
principles. Many thanks for the compliments.

StoneBeat *does* support the use of multicast IP addresses and IGMP as
well, to clarify a point made by Peter.
