Hello,
Just a quick note, I installed SP8 yesterday for FW-1 4.0 on Solaris, it
went less than ideal. I was wondering if anyone had similar experiences.
 -Installed SP8 on top of SP6, when I re-booted FW-1 couldn't find any
interfaces except the loopback. Upon further investigation the upgrade had
removed the FW-1 scripts in /etc/rc2.d and /etc/rcS.d. These appear to load
the interface drivers into the kernel. Everything worked okay except all the
virtual interfaces were gone from FW-1. Solaris showed them but FW-1 didn't.
Re-configed them from the management console, everything now works.
Not as painful as some of the SP7 stories I've heard, but still not
pleasant. (Although I now know more about the FW-1 boot process.) Anyone
have similar experiences? Anyone shed some light on what went wrong?
   I'll summarize the relies.
