Uhh, had a same issue couple of days ago. My plugin was loading ALC resources in the predispatch, and anything that was "redirected" to the ErrorController tried to load the same resources twice.
Don't know if this is the way it is supposed to be but I created a small workaround for my specific problem. If somebody has some more insight on pros and cons of this behaviour I would like to hear them as wel..
