Hi all,

fwknop-2.6.1 has been released:

http://www.cipherdyne.org/fwknop/download/

A number of issues have been fixed, and two the most significant are:

- For SPA packets encrypted and authenticated by GnuPG, the fwknopd daemon
now requires that a proper gpg signature is applied. That is, the
GPG_REQUIRE_SIG variable in a gpg access.conf stanza is now enabled by
default. A new variable GPG_DISABLE_SIG has been added in order to
maintain backwards compatibility if you _really_ want to use GnuPG for
encryption but not sign the outgoing SPA packets from the fwknop client,
but this is certainly not a recommended configuration. Note that if you
upgrade to 2.6.1 and you are building SPA packets with GnuPG but not
signing them, then if you want to continue doing this (again, not
recommended) you will need to add GPG_DISABLE_SIG to each access.conf
stanza.
- A memory leak in fwknopd related to GnuPG handling has been fixed.

Complete details of the changes are available here:

Thanks,

--Mike
