Agreed - one can have 3rd party RAM and not have issues. - I have 1 Gbyte in my Pismo 
for example. 

But if you have bad RAM it doesn't matter whether it's from Infinite Loop or from 
Joe's Deluxe Mac Shoppe. 

Best thing to do is to remove the recently added ram and see if you can duplicate the 
symptoms. If you can't then it's more than like the RAM stick and you should return it 
for replacement.
